Justin Alexander Holness is part Jamaican and part Nakota from Ocean Man First Nation in Saskatchewan so subsequently his artist name is Jah'Kota. He was born and raised in Winnipeg and moved to Ottawa in 2010. He believes everyone has a genius we just have to nurture our gifts. Jah'kota won first place at the summer solstice festival in 2013.
